Welcome to Immanuel United Methodist Church! Sunday, June 29 was my first day as the new pastor appointed to Immanuel United Methodist Church in Corcoran, Minnesota. The church and parsonage are located on the west side of County Road 101. Bean fields, trees and a few gravel roads surround us. Right across the road on the east side of 101 is the growing, expanding city of Maple Grove. Our mission states it well; we are a church “rooted in a rich history of serving God in our changing community.” On my journey of faith I experience God as love, acceptance, forgiveness and accountability. I embrace the United Methodist Quadrilateral of Scripture, Tradition, Experience and Reason as a way to form, support and challenge our faith. As a church community, I believe that we are called to come together to learn about, struggle with and discern God’s will for us.
member of a large church staff for five years and most recently as the pastor of a church in St. Paul for thirteen years.
